U were missing,

But it didn’t feel like u were missing.

In fact, u felt misplaced

When I saw u for the first time.

But then u were everywhere.

In every word, in every breath.

Words seemed so content without u.

The world seemed so content without u.

But I couldn't ignore u.

Soon my words were filled with u,

My breath filled with u.

Soon my world was colour.

And now I look back on a world without colour

And I wonder how I ever lived without u.

U are missing.

U make colour.

U make me.
